Asset Browser Preferences
Access Asset Browser Preferences
You can easily access Asset Browser settings by going to idStudio menu → Preferences → Settings tab → Asset Browser.
General Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| External Decl Editor | Connects to an external editor, such as Notepad++. |
| Preview models/materials when selecting an item | Select ( :ballot_box_with_check: ) to toggle auto-opening of the Preview window. |
| Search only in Selected Bookmarks | Select ( :ballot_box_with_check: ) to constrain the search filter to only search bookmarked items. |
| Show filtered folders | Select ( :ballot_box_with_check: ) to limit the right-hand panel to show all folders. |
| Show folders in thumbnail/list window | Select ( :ballot_box_with_check: ) to show child folders in the thumbnail/list window (toggling off hides child folders in this window). |
Path Settings

| Copy with forward slashes | Select ( :ballot_box_with_check: ) to use forward slashes instead of back slashes. |
Search Settings

These settings are the same as the cog dropdown in Asset Browser. Toggling the checkbox in Preferences updates the options in the cog dropdown in the Asset Browser and vice versa.

| Include full asset path in search | Select ( :ballot_box_with_check: ) to match search text against full asset path. |
| Only search under the currently browsed folder | Select ( :ballot_box_with_check: ) to match search text against selected folder. |
