Browse

You can browse user-created mod content through the "Browse" tab. This tab is designed to help you quickly find and install content that interests you.

Curated Content

The first section of the "Browse" tab is a rotating menu of mods that are part of our id Software curated content. These lists are "live" and are updated on regular intervals by our team.

To switch between curated lists:

  1. Open the DOOM Eternal Launcher.
  2. Click on the "Mods" page.
  3. Sign into a valid Bethesda.net account.
  4. Click on the "Browse" tab.
  5. Select the list dropdown at the top of the page (just over the rotating cards).

Just below the curated content on the "Browse" page is a section that contains all available mods from the mod servers.

These are sorted using one of three popular sorting schemes:

  • Newest Mods: Sorted by mod "creation date" in descending order.
  • Most Popular: Sorted by "number of downloads" in descending order.
  • Highest Rated: Sorted by our calculated rating in descending order.

To change the default sort:

  1. Open the DOOM Eternal Launcher.
  2. Click on the "Mods" page.
  3. Sign into a valid Bethesda.net account.
  4. Click on the "Browse" tab.
  5. Select the sort dropdown (by default this is sorted by Newest Mods).

Searching for Mods

The "Browse" tab includes a powerful search bar in the top left corner or the page. By default, you can type any keyword into the search to perform an elastic search on mod content.

The search bar on the "Browse" page not only allows users search by mod name but also by author and tag. These types of searches can be powerful tools for finding the correct mods.

note

When searching by "author" users must:

  • predicate their search with the "@" character
  • search by the author's entire name
tip

When searching by "tag" users can enter multiple tags in a "semi-colon" (;) delimited list. Each tag must be separated by a semi-colon, i.e.:

#Armor; #Weapons; #Map; #Audio
